About The Role:
We are looking for a software visionary who can grow and lead our IT group. As VP of Software Development, you will have the unique opportunity to help shape Nexgen?s future. Reporting directly to the EVP and GM of the Company and with consistent interaction with the founders and Board of Directors, the VP of Software Development?s role is a critical hire for our Company. This innovative individual must lead fearlessly and build the architecture, design and implementation of our asset management, order management, data aggregation and analytics platforms. Initially, the role will require delivering to our strategic customers in North America by managing teams in India and Hong Kong and by building over time a high-performing technical team in the Chicago area.
More Details:
Work with our development teams in Honk Kong and India to continue improving the features and functionality of our existing asset management and order management software platforms
Lead our current efforts with our strategic customers to deliver on data-driven applications that improve the effectiveness of their manufacturing and supply chain operations
Architect and develop our next-generation data analytics platform that provides transparency to the broader retail supply chain.
Engage end-users and partner community to ensure we are delivering products that meet the needs of our customers and the market.
Work closely with our product, manufacturing and field implementation teams to ensure we are delivering on our commitments as a team and as a Company. Implement processes and metrics to ensure the software development teams are contributing to our overall goals.

Technical acumen and experience are important but having a passion for building and being part of a team is critical.
The Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
7+ years professional software development experience and 3+ years of experience managing software developers
Specific experience with Azure, BI/visualization platforms, IoT solutions and other analytics tools is preferred
Must have experience in planning, architecting and delivering enterprise-grade systems and solutions
Must be detail oriented, possess excellent communication skills and team-focused
Must be able to travel internationally. Hong Kong primarily; Europe and India on a limited basis
