Jr. SQL Developer Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - Consolidated Trading is looking for a Junior SQL Developer to work in their Chicago office. Are you an experienced SQL Developer looking to challenge yourself in a vibrant and buzzing environment? The successful candidate will have at least 2 - 3 years of experience as an SQL Developer. This position will also require data analysis, data profiling and research to support business initiatives to solve data issues.
Responsibilities:
Support full project / software development life cycle.
Analyze business requirements and assist in designing business solutions.
Perform unit acceptance testing of solutions developed by IT team, and post-implementation verification after project deployment.
Assist in the documentation of business processes.
Make necessary application enhancements to support dynamic changing business rules.
Perform data analysis, data profiling and research to support business initiatives or solve data issues.
Perform root cause analysis of errors and recommend solutions.
Manipulate large data sets and interpret results using data aggregation functions: Validate data to ensure accuracy, quality and integrity.
Create and publish analytic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent.
Strong proficiency with database programming, preferably in MS SQL Server environment.
Good understanding of modern relational database designs.
Ability to effectively function in a fast-paced environment.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Attention to detail.
Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving abilities.
Self-motivated and able to efficiently manage time and tasks without supervision.
Experience working at a trading firm, financial markets, or financial industry is a plus
SQL administration, C# programming, and SSIS experience is a plus
