Accounting Manager Job Opening in Baraboo, Wisconsin - As Teel Plastics continues to grow in the Baraboo community we are also building and growing our Accounting department and are bringing on several new positions. The Accounting Manager position will join a seasoned group of professionals and will be taking an active role in the monthly account analysis, month/annual closing and will be supervising the department.
Responsibilities include:
Account reconciliation and analysis: Prepaid Expenses, Deposits, Accrued Expenses, Investments, Leases, Shareholder Equity, Inter-company balances
Complete Journal Entries including maintenance of recurring journal entries and allocations
Reconcile inventories and inventory management
Coordinate the end of month processing including monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information; participate in the monthly CDH reporting and meeting
Update reports and provide communication and follow-up
Prepare government filings
Supervise and oversee Staff Accountant II, Staff Accountant I (A/P) and the Staff Accountant (Payroll and A/R)
Participate in the annual financial audit
Assist in the annual Budgeting process
Assist in company tax filings and insurance renewals
Provide backup for Director of Accounting
Work on special projects as needed
Requirements include:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting
CPA desired
3+ years progressive experience in Accounting environment
3+ years of prior supervisor level accounting experience within a manufacturing industry preferred
Excellent communications skills required
Excellent skills using MS Word, Excel and Access
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
