Senior Accountant Job Opening in Boston, Massachusetts - Our client, a publicly traded technology company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team! This organization has experienced substantial growth over the last few years and has plans to continue through organic expansion and acquisition. The Senior Accountant will be heavily involved in the month end close, SEC Reporting & Consolidations and Investor Relations. This role is perfect for someone with Public Accounting experience looking to make the jump into corporate!
Responsibilities :
Heavily involved in a deadline-driven monthly close process to support the preparation of the consolidating financial statements.
Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned GL acounts
Assist with quarterly and annual 10-Q & 10-K filings
Assist with audit slides and prepare findings for Investor Relations
Heavily involved in interim and year-end Corporate Audit functions.
Continuous communication with the finance team on status of the close process overall and assigned areas of focus with regards to the close process
Assists the Manager with in ad-hoc projects and technical accounting on an as needed basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree with a focus in Accounting required.
Public Accounting experience required
Strong attention to detail needed and problem-solving skills needed.
Must be a highly self-motivated individual with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment
Requires superior interpersonal skills to work and communicate with all levels of management
Must have advanced Excel skills, Oracle or related ERP experience preferred
Must be a dedicated team player with the willingness and desire to learn and grow within the Organization.
Master's degree or CPA designation preferred.
