Bookkeeper Job Opening in Provincetown, Massachusetts - Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Bookkeeper position is to coordinate the office and bookkeeping functions including any office paperwork, schedules, other clerical duties, record financial information such as income and expenses, reconcile bank statements, and process invoices.
General Accounting Responsibilities
1) Oversee all Account Payables & Receivables and takes corrective actions
2) Produce and mail monthly customer statements
3) Review outstanding invoices and acts on collections as needed on a timely basis
4) Conduct weekly delinquent calls for late receivable accounts
5) Responsible to reconcile cash drawers to the POS and communicate to the GM daily in a timely basis
6) Responsible for communication with the Outside Payroll Service for Payroll Weekly Processing
7) Responsible for the Monthly Filing and Payment Remit for Sales Tax
8) Responsible for the Monthly Integrity of the General Ledger
9) Direct Liaison with the External Accountants and Provides Data, Account Reconciliations and Reports as Requested
10) Responsible for the Daily and Monthly Bank Reconciliations
11) Reconcile the ACE and Radioshack statements
Financial Reporting Responsibilities
1) Responsible for Banking each day, making daily deposits, monitoring the credit line and savings accounts
2) Responsible to create and deliver financial, aging and billing reports for the President
3) Responsible for completing and providing key financial reports and statements as needed
4) Completes weekly 8-week Cash Flow Report and review with the Gen. Manager & President
5) Completes weekly flash report and provide 2 copies of the flash report to the Gen. Manager & President
Administrative and Human Resources Responsibilities
1) Responsible for maintaining all necessary documents and records for the employee Benefit Plan (Health, dental, vision, retirement etc.)
2) Completes all new hire packages and conducts a company orientation with new employees
3) Post all law posters and company policies
4) Responsible for maintaining and organizing all necessary files and for data entry functions that are needed
5) Assist when needed with the retail sales or customer service functions
6) Perform other tasks & duties as directed by management
3 to 5 years of experience. Must be familiar with QuickBooks Pro
