Pro Teck Valuation Services in Waltham, MA is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join the Accounting and Finance team! The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accounting records of the Company in accordance with US GAAP and analyzing the results of operations. They will manage monthly financial closing actions including journal entries and account reconciliation, financial and 401K audits, prepare performance metrics, process sales invoices and receipts, analyze the financial performance of the company, perform cost of goods sold review and margin analysis, and more. As a key member of the accounting department, the Staff Accountant will partner with members of the accounting team, as well as other departments within the Company. This position provides exposure to key revenue accounting processes and transactions and offers development opportunities that can lead to advanced roles within the accounting organization or within other departments.
The ideal candidate for this position will have, at minimum, a Bachelor?s degree in Accounting/Finance from and accredited institution, 3 years of experience in a fast-paced corporate environment, advanced MS Office Suite skills, and the ability to work independently with precision, consistency, and punctuality. Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is highly preferred.
