JOB DESCRIPTION PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To support the Purchasing department in the various daily and weekly job responsibilities. DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY DUTIES ? Coordinate all activities related to the procurement of material from purchase through delivery. ? Create, confirm and expedite Purchase Orders ? Work with multiple freight carriers scheduling and tracking inbound freight ? Responsible for ordering and monitoring office, production, and safety supplies ? Maintain compliance documentation and document control system ? Track incoming freight costs ? Maintain departmental supplier master list ? Filing departmental periodicals and purchase orders in a timely manner ? Other job duties as directed by supervisor JOB REQUIREMENTS ? Must be able to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously ? Work in a high energy level, fast paced environment ? Prioritize and plan work activities. Complete work, identify and solve problems in a timely manner. ? Must be organized, have positive attitude, strong follow up & problem solving skills ? Maintains high confidentiality in daily operations, especially to safeguard pricing, sales and purchase information QUALIFICATIONS ***Essential ? Excellent communication skills ? Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access ? Detail oriented ? Excellent time management skills ? Ability to multi-task ? Work well under pressure ? Able to meet physical job functions ***Desirable ? Experience in food industry preferable ? Associates degree in related field PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : ?
