Fleet Manager Job Opening in Elkhart, Indiana - Position Summary: The Fleet Manager will be responsible for supporting Company fleet of approx. 400 vehicles. The role will ensure maximization of fleet utilization and perform duties to provide services in accordance with established operation procedures and company policies. Reporting to the Director of Fleet Operations, the Interim Fleet Manager may delegate filing and administrative duties as appropriate but remains ultimately responsible for their correct and on time completion. The Director of Fleet Operations may at any time enlist the Interim Fleet Manager into assistance with projects. The responsibilities outlined below are; a) not an exhaustive list of job requirements, and b) in no way limit the scope of the role, or excludes additional duties as assigned.
Responsibilities :
Leadership and Customer Service
Supervise, train, and work along-side of Fleet Administrator in the commission of all duties to ensure the ongoing operation of the fleet.
Serve as primary point of contact for all internal customers and proactively seek out opportunities to serve them accordingly.
Perform quarterly or semi-annual fleet reviews with General Managers and report to them on maintenance, utilization, and overall asset performance.
Remain on-call to work with Director of Safety to handle any accidents that occur involving company vehicles.
Fleet Maintenance
Maintain maintenance, repair, and all other fleet records by updating information in company systems and files.
Ensure that all maintenance guidelines and processes are followed by working with Tredroc Transportation team as well as outside vendors.
Serve as primary point of contact for third party maintenance and service vendors as assigned.
Manage vendor work by seeking estimates, approving work to be done, and reviewing invoices after work has been complete
Maintain overall responsibility of all compliance related requirements including but not limited to DOT inspections, Crane Inspections, Licensing, Fuel Tax reporting and any other regulation filing or action that the company must perform
Asset Management and Reporting
Serve as primary ?owner? of all asset files both physical and electronic, maintaining the designated information according to policy.
Provide key reporting and analysis for senior management according to established schedules.
Serve as primary owner of all driver files and ensure compliance.
Manage the in-servicing and out-servicing process of fleet assets as required.
Manage asset assignments to business units and appropriately communicate with accounting or other internal constituents.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience
Proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken
