Principal Software Engineer Job Opening in Holmdel, New jersey - We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer that will work closely with the Director of Software Engineering to lead a team of developers and data scientists and build data analytics solutions. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design of next generation architectures and solutions, the coordination of multiple project deliverables within the specified deadlines, resource allocation & management, code review, delivery of products as defined in the PRD, as well as coaching and monitoring a team of developers.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for writing software in Java/Scala/hive for Hadoop/Spark framework.
Work with the technical leadership team for product enhancement and contribute to next generation solution architecture.
Participate in pre-sales engineering and customer implementation.
Requirements:
Must Have ? 3-5 years of experience and excellent knowledge in Java or Scala and Hive /Pig for
Must Have ? 3-5 years of experience and working knowledge of distributed/cluster computing concepts of Apache Hadoop or Apache Spark.
Must Have ? Written UDF, handled skew, partitioning, worked with Map/Reduce, ORC, Parquet, Datasets, DataFrames.
Must Have ? Good knowledge of Linux File Systems, Memory Management, Garbage Collection & Tuning, Coherency, Parallelism, locks, etc.
Must Have ? Strong background in Data Structures and Algorithms to be handle parallelization and performance.
Preferred ? Analytics and data science knowledge would be a strong plus.
Education: Completed BS/MS in Computer Science
