Trinity Counseling Service, a private nonprofit mental health services agency, is seeking a detail oriented,self-motivated, and highly organized individual with experience in medical/client records maintenance,insurance, and billing. The Specialist will handle all insurance billing, reimbursement, and collection for the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of professionalism and understand and respect issues of confidentiality related to working in a mental health setting. Excellent communication skills, the ability to interact effectively with a diverse team, and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency are also required.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all billing and collection of insurance payments, generating of statements, and management of client questions and concerns.
Assist with questions/concerns raised by clinicians and staff on behalf of clients (regarding client accounts).
Manage Medicare re-validation process.
Assist clinicians, when appropriate, with insurance paneling and other administrative tasks. * Assist with the monitoring and compliance of internal controls. * Generate reports as needed/relevant.
Assist with State Licensure requirements and processes.
Remain current as to software/technology updates to ensure best practices for TCS
Consistently monitor risk assessment for HIPAA compliance to best manage risk for organization.
Handle requests for records (redacting, release forms, etc.)
Qualifications include:
Must possess comprehensive knowledge of medical, ethical, and legal requirements and standards related to healthcare delivery and the privacy of protected patient information.
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or equivalent certificate highly desired.
BA degree or above, from an HIM program, highly desired.
Excellent organizational skills.
Responsive, and possesses superior internal and external customer services skills. * The ability to be an effective team member.
The capability to ensure the quality of medical records by verifying their completeness, proper filing and maintenance, and data entry as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30,000.00 to $40,000.00 /year
