Activity Aide Job Opening in Cherry Hill, New jersey - Welcome to St. Mary?s Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare! Our 215-bed facility, provides a warm and caring environment for short-term rehab patients, and long- term residents. Our team of seasoned staff work together to offer excellent service and care to each resident.
The Activity Aide is responsible for bringing enjoyment and quality of life to all residents. As an assistant to the Director of Recreation, the Activity Aide helps with developing programs filled with group and individual activities designed for residents on all levels and carrying out programs and events on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
Assists in planning and executing recreational activities based on the needs and interests of the residents
Encourages social interaction and communication between the residents through group recreation, and community interaction programs
Facilitates recreational programs on an individual and group basis
Provides individual intervention to residents based on personal needs and conditions
Records resident attendance and participation level at recreation programs, writes progress notes, and attends care plan meetings as necessary
Assists in the upkeep, storage, and organization of the recreation department supplies
Assists with admission assessments, MDS, care plans and progress notes
Ensures that residents receive the highest quality of service in a warm and caring environment which recognizes the individuals' needs and capabilities
Performs other related job duties as required
Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent
