Account Executive - Inside Sales Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - We are a worldwide leader in the Business Information field, presenting over 2,500 strategic conferences and summits around the world each year. We are currently seeking intensely motivated, competitive and passionate individuals to serve as Sales Executives with our Chicago-based Summit division for our North American Events.
You will research and learn industry trends, identify channels for new business development, formulate sales and marketing strategies, prospect and mine for decisions makers, pitch and sell to the world's top sales professionals, close and manage accounts and relationships within the Capital Markets, Financial, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Healthcare, Legal, Government, Technology, Oil and Gas, and Energy sectors, both here in North America and internationally. We will provide you with comprehensive ongoing training.
We offer some of the highest compensation models in the industry; first-year earnings target is $45,000-$55,000 with targets of $65,000 - plus in your second year. Job Responsibilities
As a Sales Executive your responsibility will be to identify all potential attendees based upon event criteria to invite to a small senior-level corporate Summit.
You will work closely with production, social media, marketing, research, event management and sales teams to ensure best results in attendance, quality experiences and event revenues. Your industry knowledge, connections and reputation will grow with every delivered event.
Your specific duties in this role will include:
Research industry regulations, web-sites, associations, market reports, trade publications, whitepapers, directories, bloggers, portals, linked-in groups, vendors and suppliers to learn about content and establish leads to engage.
Gain competitive and market intelligence on related industry events.
Conducting phone-based lead research and sales calls to prospects introducing our product and value propositions.
Understand the needs and potential pains of you prospect-base.
Spend on average 2 to 3-hours on the phone each and every day pitching and presenting our event vision, benefits to prospect and expected ROI.
Navigate our consultative sales process in a professional manner that impacts and leads to proper decision making, rapport and trust building.
Manage qualified decisions to an outcome with efficiency and precision.
Negotiate and close sales with great results adding to the revenue streams of the campaigns you are assigned.
Build strong client relationships and explore various business development channels within the Marcus Evans portfolio of products and services.
Grow your skill set and career position by participating in all aspects of training development offered within the group.
