Warehouse Lead Job Opening in Maumelle, Arkansas - Onyx is looking for a Warehouse Lead to join our team. Before applying for this position please note that we will ask to see your current forklift certification and you will be asked to perform a count test in the warehouse upon your interview.
Job Description:
Background in a warehouse operations environment
At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
Must be comfortable with handling chemicals
Must be able to stack and organize mixed pallets
Possess the ability to lift boxes and objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Must follow company safety rules / OSHA standards and proper lifting techniques
Must have current forklift certification , and OSHA training required
Ability to read and understand MSDS sheets
HAZMAT training and certification preferred
Able to work with minimum supervision
Good organizational skills
Must posses excellent basic Math skills, i.e. Add, Subtract, Multiply, and Divide
Responsibilities:
Assigning warehouse order pullers daily job assignments
All receiving and it associated paperwork
Work closely with the Warehouse Order Auditor to ensure daily operations are carried out.
Proper pallet placement and identification paperwork/placards
Cycle counting fill room production and maintaining a weekly cycle count sheet to be turned into the production manager
Cleanliness and overall appearance of the warehouse both daily and weekly
Performing the daily inspections on associated equipment (i.e. Forklifts and compactor) ensuring they are ready for daily operations
Help organize and build/stack palatalized orders
Responsible for recording proper pallet weights and turning over to Shipping and Receiving Manager
Other duties are assigned
Additional Info:
The work is typically a Monday through Friday day shift role. However, overtime and weekend work may be required. This role will require some small packaging and shipping experience. Great attention to details and accuracy is required. Compensation will be based on experience and existing pay scales. A candidate must be able to pass a background check, and drug test. This position is an hourly position with responsibility for duties outlined above as well as other duties that may arise for the position and will report directly to the Warehouse Manager. The position will require an associate that is dedicated to detail, safety, quality and productivity for warehouse operations.
