Outside Sales- Territory Manager Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - *** We pay the highest commissions in this industry!! In addition to performance based commissions, we also provide a monthly car allowance and manufacturer supported training programs.***
Job Summary: This position requires daily travel within 100 mile radius. Must have dependable personal transportation and clean driving record with personal auto insurance.
Responsible for the growth of Material Handling/Allied Sales as well as customer service support for the Territory Account Managers. The associate in this position MUST HAVE in-depth product knowledge in the MATERIAL HANDLING INDUSTRY and the aptitude to learn product specifications quickly. This associate must also act as an ambassador to the company and should always conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the company's culture and values.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree or higher in Sales, Marketing, or Business related field is preferred but not required.
Travel Requirement: 95% of the time within assigned territory (overnight travel 5-10% mostly for training or development programs.)
Job Responsibilities:
Sales: Warehousing Rack, Shelving, In-Plant Offices, Conveyers, Mezzanines and other material handling supplies and Safety Training.
Build effective relationships with customers, prospects, vendors and associates.
Promote the company's culture and values.
Ensure customer satisfaction is the number one priority and be an effective business partner to current and prospective customers by understanding their business needs.
Explore market growth opportunities with potential and current customers by cold calling and utilizing available marketing tools.
Achieve annual sales goals.
Promote tires, battery sales, safety and other programs as solutions.
Follow up on VOC (voice of customer), customer issues and settle disputes as necessary.
Ensure professional development by participating in Training and other personal development programs.
Be open to coaching by the Sales Manager and Chief Operations Officer.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and/or service in the Material Handling industry;
Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Customer oriented; ensuring lasting relationships with our customers.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft office.
Ability to overcome sales objections and maintain positivity.
Willingness to adapt to new tools and technologies to improve performance.
Strong time management skills.
Goal oriented, always striving to exceed standards.
Possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics.
Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record required.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
May experience moderate noise levels throughout the day.
Constant driving and talking occur in this position.
Occasionally may walk up and down stairs.
Attendance and effective time management is essential to this job.
May be required to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
This position sometimes requires sitting at a desk utilizing a computer and monitor as well as frequent use of tablets and mobile devices.
