Personal Healthcare is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our regional team in Central NY
Summary:
The position of RN Regional Director of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement provides education, guidance, and support for multiple long-term care centers in the Central New York Area. This position functions as a leader for education management in the facilities by working well with HR, the DON, Administrators and Corporate staff. The Regional Director of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement works to carry out the initiatives of the corporate development Team in accordance with the company policies and governmental regulations so as to promote the highest standards of quality and best practices in education. The position must function as a leader to ensure that work is accomplished and quality service is delivered, supporting team members and leading the way in celebrating successes.
Job duties include:
Assess facility and regional education trend/needs in conjunction with the ED, DON, Regional Staff and Home Office.
Develop educational plans and programs in conjunction with the regional and corporate Team.
Implement and provide oversight to educational programs and implementation.
Monitor educational effectiveness and provide remediation if needed.
Assure that quality orientation, mandatory in services, and other learning opportunities meet the facilities needs and regulatory requirements.
Visit each assigned facility as required.
Communicate regularly with HR, DON, Administrators, and Regional/Corporate Staff to ensure needs are being met.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a current license as an RN
BS or MS in Nursing Administration Preferred
3 Years of experience as a Nursing Home Director of Nursing
Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, standards of practice and state practice acts and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
Must have facilitation experience with clinical skills, leadership, and soft skills.
Must be able to deal tactfully with team members, other staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with team members in all positions.
Must be able to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, etc. that are necessary for providing quality education
Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to implement them into existing practices.
