General Summary
We are seeking a highly self-motivated and confident outside sales representative that will be responsible for adding consistent new business within the assigned territory and reporting activity through the desired channels. The outside sales representative is responsible for all facets of the sales process, from identifying prospects to close.
The right person will have the drive and commitment to excel in a fast-paced sales environment and provide outstanding customer service. We rely on our outside sales representatives to drive our growth exponentially.
This challenging, but rewarding opportunity will require you to go above and beyond on a daily basis. You must be able to work within a close-knit, family oriented team to build and maintain relationships with the instinct to focus on results with each client.
Essential Functions
Solicit business in accordance with sales goals, process and policies. Develop sales through cold calls, references, direct mail advertising and telemarketing as well as any other means found reasonable.
Bring new ideas and enthusiasm to the sales team and share these during regularly scheduled sales meetings.
Make good use of mail-out advertising and telephone solicitation to increase time spent in direct potential customer contact by proactively following up with prospects.
Create and adhere to a territory plan in their assigned territory.
Respond to all leads promptly.
Install new accounts with the Service Department.
Keep accurate records of daily calls and other activities and proactively report those through the desired reporting process.
Update prospect listings daily.
Visit new accounts within one month of installation.
Visit all sold customers at least once per year to reaffirm satisfaction and solicit referrals and written testimonial letters.
Work with the team to help find ways to shorten the sales cycle and move deals through the pipeline.
Works continuously with the Sales Manager to optimize sales strategies
Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all products, equipment, and services and is prepared, able, and willing to give full presentations in the field and at sales meetings
Completes all relative administrative duties, such as preparing contracts, quotes, proposals, etc.
Perform relationship management duties on assigned accounts.
Attend and report to all scheduled sales meetings ready and willing to discuss performance and results.
Track and record all data daily into Salesforce for proper tracking against goals and to retain important information.

Required Education and Experience
Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Self-motivated, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality
Extremely organized and responsible
One to two years of Business to Business (B2B) sales experience required
BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred.
Hospitality industry knowledge is a plus.
Must be willing and able to drive a company car and travel within assigned territory
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays, overtime, and the occasional schedule adjustment may become necessary to accommodate business needs.
Physical Demands
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds.
