You will be designing and developing a database area of the applications along with programming in Python etc languages. Database work will include data-store and necessary tools to enable reporting, and analytics for Merchant Link customer (merchants) transactions and information. You will play a crucial role in our analytics offerings to merchants and internal business managers.
Merchant Link Development is a small team, and we are looking for people to make a big impact. This means you would want to take on lots of responsibility and be able to handle projects independently. This is a great job if you have been a database or data-warehouse developer who wants to take on more ownership and make an impact. You are curious and eager to learn, you can't imagine a day without coding.

Your responsibilities
Design and Develop innovative technology & software as part of a team of highly talented software developers
Program and test software solutions to meet business requirements. Uses Python (or similar OO languages), and Database tools (SQL, Stored Procedures, ETL etc).
Analyze requirements to develop a reporting and analytics solutions; Design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from both internal and outside sources; as well as ensure data is verified and quality is checked
Design and Develop technology & software for reporting, analytics and BI use cases external and internal; Perform the design and extension of data marts, meta data, and data models
Implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware, or other technologies.
Verify and ensure accuracy of data, and maintaining and supporting the data warehouse.
Help plan and implement data-store infrastructure for testing and production use
Expected qualifications & experience
Bachelor?s degree in MIS, Data organization or related discipline
5+ years? total experience in technology preferably in software applications or database applications development; Minimum 2 years in advanced database areas; Must also have experience in applications programming in a high-level languages like Java, Python, C++
Strong database experience; fluency in SQL, Schema development, stored procedures, Trigger, and related database programming technologies; Experience with enterprise level relational database like Oracle, DB2, and MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.
Exceptional experience developing codes, testing for quality assurance, administering RDBMS, and monitoring of database
Self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills
A detail-oriented and highly communicative personality, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable qualifications
Experience modeling and designing Relational DBs, Star Schemas, and cubes (Kimball); High proficiency in dimensional modeling techniques and their applications
Working experience with DWH tools like Tableau, SportFire, TIBCO, QlikView, MicroStrategy,
Experience in payment industry
Experience in R/Python Data Science
Experience in Hadoop, Impala, Pig, Hive, YARN, and other ?big data? technologies.
