CERTIFIED MEDICAL TECHNICIAN - GASTROENTEROLOGY Job Opening in pensacola, Florida - CERTIFIED MEDICAL TECHNICIAN - GASTROENTEROLOGY Eglin Air Force Base, FL Certified Medical Full Time Position Providing Civilian Services at this Military Medical Treatment Facility. Qualifications: Education. The technician shall have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program, must have a current specialty area certificate from an accredited national, state or military trained equivalent school, and show the ability to perform position duties. Experience. The technician shall have at least 12 months experience within the past 24 months Assist with routine endoscopy procedures to include: EGD, CSP, ERCP, Ph/Mannometry testing, Hydrogen Breath Analysis, Liver Biopsies, and PEG/PEG-J Placement. Assist with emergency procedure to include: GI Bleeds, Food Obstructions, and foreign Body Obstructions. The technician shall be primarily required to perform gastroenterology services. When the services are not required, or the technician?s services are more urgently required elsewhere, the technician may be assigned by the Chief if Internal Medicine Services to provide support in other of the MTF commensurate with their experience.
