Software Engineer, Content Analytics Job Opening in Annapolis Junction, Maryland - Our Content Analytics Software Engineers are the folks finding needles in haystacks (figuratively!).
The team of engineers are very up on new technologies, and are performing a full suite of analytics, and complex algorithms analysis.
This Software Engineer job is to develop complex software systems. The content analytics systems are analytics, performing novel algorithm development, and manipulation of extremely large data sets.

The team is very coordinated, and utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
Required Skills:
Fifteen years of experience as a software engineer on complex development efforts.
Cloud Experience: Work experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as Hbase, CloudBase/Acumulo, Big Table, etc.
Work experience with the Map Reduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.
Work experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
Experience with Serialization such as JSON and/or BSONQualifications
Ability to analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
Ability to develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
Experience developing software solutions by analyzing performance standards, analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes
Ability to design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
Ability to design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor?s degree.
Clearance required: Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
