Experienced Sales Executive - Events, Norfolk, VA Job Opening in Norfolk, Virginia - Ampa Events is a full-service event design and production company. We provide exceptional service to our clients to help plan and produce galas, weddings, school events, corporate events, and so much more!
Successful candidates will have proven contacts and a minimum of two years of event or related industries experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to this position. Ampa is looking for qualified candidates to join our sales team and promote Ampa's services in the Norfolk area.
Responsibilities include:
- Sell total solutions including lighting, stage sets, theme decor, scenery, audio visual, centerpieces, and general equipment.
- Develop new business opportunities with a total solution approach to client event needs with our team and inventory as support.
- Purse networking opportunities - develop and maintain professional contacts in the event industry.
- Work directly with clients to determine and finalize event orders including theme decor, lighting, production services, linens, china or other client needs.
- Draft proposals and contracts using a sales database system that includes a point and click inventory database.
- Interact with operational and administrative staff to ensure quality service to clients.
- Participate and attend industry association events for marketing an business development.
- Attend client events as needed and/or required by client. Evening and weekend availability for event attendance is required.
Required :
- Two plus years successful sales experience.
- Relationships and experience with venues and organizations in the Norfolk market area.
- Active in event industry associations.
- Positive attitude and the ability to be flexible to meet client needs.
- Proven ability to write clear and concise internal and external communications.
- Working knowledge of Mac OS.
- Strong computer and social media skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
