Sales Manager Job Opening in Park City, Utah - The Park City Peaks Hotel is a mountain mid-century modern boutique hotel that is committed to delivering memorable experiences to our guests. Our property features 127 newly-renovated rooms, a unique indoor/outdoor pool with oversized hot tub, dry sauna/steam room, and state-of-the-art fitness center. We are also home to VERSANTE, our on-site restaurant and bar serving Neapolitan-style pizzas, pastas, local craft beer and spirits.
We are a driven, energetic team looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to join us in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. This role works closely with our Director of Sales and Marketing to sell the property and support group functions.
ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners and clients in all markets to promote/sell the property.
Prepare and negotiate contracts and conduct site tours, sales calls and off-site client visits.
Work alongside the DOSM to develop and implement seasonal sales action plans and group promotions.
Monitor group arrival/departure patterns, rates, room blocks, space allocations, and special group accommodations.
Work with F&B team members on contracts and BEOs pertaining to group functions and other special requests.
Work closely with groups on pre-arrival logistics, itineraries and other group needs, as well as post-stay follow up.
Identify additional sales opportunities and work with DOSM to strategically capture new group segments.
Effectively communicate internally and help manage the group sales calendar to ensure all stakeholders are informed.
Collaborate with DOSM to promote special group offerings and deliver a consistent brand experience to guests.
Work with DOSM to create and execute detailed project plans for group events, trade shows, and community events.
Assist in the development and management of the group sales budget and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with coworkers and guests.
Customer service oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively multitask and manage a large workload, while maintaining morale and productivity.
Detail oriented and organized.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
Able to accommodate guests needs with patience and tact.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Business Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
Must be able to occasionally work long, sometimes irregular hours, to accommodate client schedules.
Able to travel to key tradeshows and events, appx. 2-5 weeks over the course of a year.
EXPERIENCE + EDUCATION
Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality Management, or equivalent experience preferred.
3-5 years Sales/Marketing experience in hospitality or related industry.
