Youth Behavioral Contract Therapist Job Opening in colorado springs, Colorado - Youth Behavioral Contract Therapist Mental Health Agency is seeking qualified contract therapists for Colorado Springs areas and surrounding counties to treat and counsel at-risk youth. Applicant must have BA degree in related field: psychology, human services, counseling, sociology, etc. and a minimum of 2 years experience in the mental health field. Must pass drug test and background checks (CBI, FBI, and Central Registry). Candidate must be culturally sensitive, an innovative thinker, and a creative problem-solver that can multi-task. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills with self-motivation to research and expand therapeutic techniques in order to meet the client?s goals. Contract therapist is responsible for the following duties (but not limited to): ? Assessing strengths and needs for families, researching and providing necessary resources to assist with individual client?s needs. ? Communicating effectively with all appropriate professionals: including but not limited to: case managers, parole officers, probation officers, judges, teachers, other therapists, management team, etc. ? Attending all court hearings, at-home scheduled visits, perform crisis management and prevention, teach parenting skills, mentor youth ? Submitting weekly timesheets, weekly progress notes, and monthly reports on given deadline ? Facilitating psycho educational groups for teens 13-19 years of age ? Driving clients to and from designated locations Qualifications: ? A Bachelor?s degree in related field ? General knowledge of computers ? Minimum 2 years experience working with troubled youth Applicant must have: ? Valid Driver?s License ? Own transportation ? Proof of current automobile insurance ? Working cell phone ?
