Cost Accountant Job Opening in Bridgeton, Missouri - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for product cost analysis, identifying errors and opportunities, preparing reports and communicating with various departments within the company.
* Maintain data and determine cost standards for all products; provides cost data for new and/or changed products.
* Knowledge of LIFO, FIFO or standard costing.
* Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
* Record journal entries including but not limited to: efficiency variance, cost of sales, cycle counts, warranty, and purchase price variance.
* Prepare various of financial results.
* Facilitate the physical inventory counts, cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
* Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Marketing on cost issues.
* Performs other job duties as assigned by Management.
