Sr. Staff Accountant Job Opening in Tampa, Florida - National real estate company needs strong hands-on associate with working knowledge of commercial real estate accounting to manage entire cycle from property transactions to corporate reporting.

We specialize in buyer representation and manage each investment from beginning to end until our clients realize their return on investment.
Along these lines, we are considered experts on our niche transaction types as we guide our clients through the process of utilizing many different tax strategies, valuation techniques, investment systems, buying approaches, and lead generation methods to help them optimize their return on investment.
Job Responsibilities :
Control accuracy & timeliness of the entire general accounting cycle for multiple corporate (9) and property (12+) entities.
Reconcile and manage multiple company workbooks for year-end audit.
Rectify balance sheet accounts as needed.
Record journal entries of real estate transactions on a timely basis.
Calculate, report, and maintain records of agent commissions.
Supervise A/P & A/R functions working through 1.5-person team.
Report to CFO
Job Requirements :
Must have:
Hands-on small company controller mindset.
Minimum 3 years hands-on working knowledge of the complete accounting cycle including intra-company transactions and auditing with multi-state, multi-profit centers.
Strong knowledge working with accrual and cash flow statements.
Proven expertise working with complex accounting systems.
Proficiency in Excel, financial reporting, and industry related software.
Self-managed and driven by performance.
Organized and focused with a high attention to detail.
Strong communication skills.
Able to create and maintain collegial relationships with colleagues and clients.
Unquestionable ethics, integrity, and common sense.
Prefer:
Commercial real estate accounting experience
Accounting degree and credentials.
Experience with transactional relationship accounting systems (eg. Accounting Seed, Financial Force).
Salesforce CRM working know-how.
