Accountant
Our Client Accounting Services group is looking for a team-oriented professional who is a motivated self-starter with great attention to detail to perform outsourced accounting services.
Our Client Accounting Services professionals perform client write-up and small business services, compilation reporting, and payroll preparation. This position requires an individual who is personable and able to communicate well with clients and staff.
Essential Functions
Strong bookkeeping skills, knowledge of GAAP a plus
Accounts payable processing
Preparation of travel expense reports
Bank reconciliations
Payroll/payroll tax deposits
Sales tax filings
Quarterly payroll forms: 940, 941, TWC, W-2, W3, 1099, 1096
QuickBooks knowledge and/or SAP knowledge a plus
Trust Accounting experience a plus but not required
Assist with special projects, depending on needs of managers and staff
Requirements
2 to 4 year degree in accounting or equivalent experience as a bookkeeper or controller
5+ years in a public accounting firm environment or similar type experience
Full charge general ledger experience
Quickbooks experience (certification preferred) or SAP experience
Experience with tax preparation software and familiarity with income tax returns for individuals, partnerships and corporations is a plus but not required
Experience in the trust and estate area is a plus but not required.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and possess strong computer skills.
