Farmers' Market Sales Person and Delivery Driver Job Opening in Starkville, Mississippi - Candidate must have a valid drivers license

Interest in locally grown food, cooking, and health is also an advantage
You will work a trial period before you are hired. You will work 4 markets with us before we decide if we will be hiring you.
Starting out pay at $10.00/hour and going up from there with good sales and work ethic.
The job will start off with working every other Saturday from 4:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You will be driving our Ford 350 extended cargo van from Starkville at 4:30 a.m. Saturday mornings to the Jackson Farmers Market on High Street that runs from 8:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. You will be selling honey, meats, and grains as well as picking up products from other vendors. Sales experience is not required, but it is a big advantage.
You may work more than every other Saturday some weeks, but you will start off working every other Saturday.
When the farmers' market season starts in May of 2018 you will work every Saturday from May - October. The Saturdays from May - October will be rotated between Jackson farmers' markets and Columbus and Starkville farmers' markets so that you will not be driving to Jackson every weekend.
You will also work every other Tuesday starting in May of 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 pm. These Tuesdays will include a farmers' market in Oxford and our buying club delivery drop off in Tupelo.
After the market season ends in October you will go back to every other Saturday and every other Tuesday (from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in Oxford and Tupelo November - April).
You have the opportunity to increase your hourly wages through good work ethic and how well you do in sales. You will also be able to purchase food through our buying clubs at our cost which will be an extreme discount on healthy locally grown fresh foods.
