We are seeking a Sports Advertising Sales Representative to join our Saginaw Wolves family. As a sports ad sales rep, your focus will be on selling advertising onto Major Corporation and Local Businesses. Your customers are local and regional advertisers. Your leads will come from a combination of cold calls, and online prospecting efforts.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
2+ years of sponsorship sales/sales management experience or related fields.
Create a List of Potential Sponsors Everyday with new outreach always happening
Outreach to Potential Sponsors (always looking for new sponsors)
Establish working relationships with local/regional and national companies
Set a variety of meetings and make phone calls
Provide support of various and ongoing client requirements through pertinent industry research and anticipation of needs
Excellent communication, organizational, presentation, and listening skills.
Successful track record in selling and customer account management for local, regional, and national accounts.
High energy level.
Extremely motivated to succeed.
Interacts well with others in fast changing environments.
Effective problem solving abilities.
Able to motivate others through leadership.
Manage time and orchestrate multiple tasks simultaneously.
Able to maintain self-confidence and high esteem in tasks such as cold calling and prospecting.
Keep a log of all outreach on a daily basis
Outside sales experience preferred- digital, media, sponsorship, or local advertising sales background a plus.
Self-starter, with the personality and drive to establish and grow revenue through cold calling potential new business (on the phone and in person), as well as servicing existing accounts.
Proven ability to conduct sales presentations, negotiate, overcome objections, close sales, and meet established quotas.
As these are work-from-home position, the media consultant must be self-motivated and proactive, with a high level of drive, energy and persistence.
The ability to be passionate about working with people and to get the job done
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a sales, marketing or business development field
Knowledge of special events and requirements listed above
A sales background with a drive to succeed
Proficient writing skills
Strong verbal communication skills
Great attention to project details, keen organization, ease of multi-tasking and time management
Excellent interpersonal skills, sincere enthusiasm and demonstrated professionalism
Ability to work individually and to be a collaborative team player
Some weekends/early mornings and late nights required
