We are looking for a Staff Accountant for a company in Kansas City, MO. You will be working for Senior Management in the Accounting Department. In this role, you will be responsible for numerous operational accounting tasks. Some experience in accounts payable and month end close are helpful. You will also be cross trained to assist in other accounting functions. This is a contract to hire opportunity.
Your job responsibilities will include:
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable back up
Some data entry
Basic monthly close process
Scan historical records and checks into accounting system
Reporting
Other projects as assigned
You will need to meet these minimum requirements to be considered:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting
Minimum one year of experience in an accounting role.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
You must be able to quickly learn and effectively use relevant accounting software
You must be detail-oriented and display a positive work ethic
