The Division Controller will support the Westervelt Pellets Business Leader and Managers in executing the financial reporting, cost accounting and control functions, business strategies and operating processes. Financial Services provided to the businesses include redesign and implementation of cost accounting system for the pellet business, preparation of financial analyses of business operations, quarterly forecasts, monthly financial closing and statements, pro forma evaluations, and other special projects at the request of the Business Leaders, Business Managers and the CFO. The position is responsible for the presentation of the financial statements in accordance with GAAP and is responsible for maintaining an effective internal control system over division assets.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor?s degree in accounting (CPA preferred) with a minimum of five years experience in a responsible accounting management role. Manufacturing cost accounting experience essential.
Must have working knowledge of financial and monthly accounting processes.
Past work experience must demonstrate attention to detail and financial analysis skills.
Proficient with Microsoft office, Excel experience required. Lawson software experience is desirable.
Must be able to work effectively and accurately with multiple priorities.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others.
