Accountant Job Opening in New York, New york - Long established multi-unit print, marketing and litigation support business seeks an accountant. Qualified candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a congenial staff and friendly office environment.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the month end close process:
Preparation of bank reconciliations
Preparation and posting of adjusting journal entries
Preparation of supporting account schedules
Analysis of balance sheet and P&L * Preparation of monthly financial analysis & reporting package for management
Perform a variety of reconciliation and accounting analysis procedures
Ensure data integrity in company?s accounting systems, ability to identify issues as they arise
Qualifications :
Solid foundation in accounting principles and concepts
3+ years experience
A thorough understanding of the accounting cycle, period-end close process and general ledger transaction
Advanced Computer literacy, including familiarity with common accounting software and MS Excel expertise. MS Access/ SQL experience is a big plus
