Senior Project Manager Job Opening in Watertown, Massachusetts - The MAVEN Project (Medical Alumni Volunteer Expert Network):
The MAVEN Project provides access and reduced wait times for needed care in underserved communities through our physician volunteers (both specialists and primary care physicians) who provide clinical consultation, education and mentoring to healthcare organizations in need. The MAVEN Project delivers value by matching its national corps of engaged physician volunteers with organizations serving vulnerable and underserved populations. The MAVEN project makes it easy, fun and meaningful for physicians to volunteer time and expertise.
Position Summary:
The Senior Project Manager plays a key role in the relationship between The MAVEN Project, its physician volunteer corps and its healthcare organization partnerships. This role leverages clinical and operational consulting experience to build and foster client relationships and plays a vital role in operationalizing and optimizing our business model to provide timely access to healthcare expertise to communities in need.
Principal Responsibilities:
Accountable and responsible for day-to-day operational implementation, maintenance and optimization of telehealth programs, including
o Managing the daily operations of our healthcare organization partnerships
o Managing to timelines and milestones and managing client expectations
o Initiating and maintaining implementation plans
o Brainstorming solutions to issues at hand and escalating when appropriate
o Managing relationships: serving as primary point of contact for healthcare organizations and physician volunteers on specific engagements
o Leading design and operationalization of initiatives in concert with the Director of Strategic Operations and Director of Programs (i.e., external and internal facing operations)
o Working with participating healthcare organizations to integrate MAVEN Project physician volunteers and telehealth applications into clinical workflows o Training and orienting healthcare organization staff and MAVEN Project physician volunteers for participation in telehealth programs
o Developing, implementing and refining telemedicine clinical protocols and standards of practice where relevant
o Working with the MAVEN Project team to identify and track performance metrics and collect data for evaluation
o Managing meetings and administrative support necessary to support the business including the creation of meeting agendas, document notes and establishment of follow-up timelines in concert with healthcare organization staff, physician volunteers and the MAVEN Project team
o Monitoring and reporting on progress, risks, challenges and solutions to stakeholders
Collaborate with the MAVEN Project team to further develop, refine and expand The MAVEN Project?s operational plans including:
o Scope of services offered by The MAVEN Project
o Identification and evaluation of potential safety-net clinics and other organizations to receive services offered by The MAVEN Project
Interface with the MAVEN Project team and external stakeholders
Ideal Candidates Are:
Able to demonstrate experience delivering timely, client focused solutions that achieve client satisfaction and produce desired results
Familiar with clinical workflows / medical practice operations
Experienced with the application of quality management tools, performance improvement
Comfortable and experienced with client-facing and internal-facing project management and relationship development
Self-starter, driven, seeking to continuously improve systems
Skills Required:
Positive attitude and passion for technology-driven solutions in a healthcare delivery setting
Experience working with clients, clinicians and other stakeholders with exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
Exceptional written and verbal presentation and communication skills
Proactive and innovative problem-solver
Demonstrated ability to be flexible, highly organized and thoughtful in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to organize, implement and manage technology and/or clinical operation projects
Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
Experience and comfort with speaking in front of groups (large or small)
Demonstrated ability to be attentive to detail with outstanding project management skills
Ability to work with limited supervision
Experience creating, tracking, and analyzing data related to operations, performance and strategy
Proficient with Microsoft Office and experienced using CRMs and social media tools
Qualifications:
5+ years experience working in clinical delivery, telehealth, telemedicine, digital health, mHealth or other health related industry
B.S. required, advanced degree (MS, MBA, MPH, MHA) preferred
Additional details:
Anticipated travel within the United States is ~10%
Salary is commensurate with responsibilities
