Property Coordinator Job Opening in Boston, Massachusetts - Summary of the Position: The Property Coordinator provides oversight of all the housing units that make up FamilyAid?s housing portfolio.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitors condition of all units including furniture, furnishings, appliances, and building systems through site visits and from reports to staff.
Works cooperatively with program managers and all social services staff in order to ensure the smooth functioning of the housing programs.
Orients new families at move-in walk thru and conducts move-out walk thru.
Conducts regular inspections of all units during a family?s stay.
Liaisons with landlords and contractors of all units on a regular basis.
Conducts a pre-rental inspection of units with landlord.
Whenever possible, conducts inspections of units with landlord when unit transitions from one family to another or any pertinent issues arise.
Completes inspections with outside agencies when necessary.
Orders and sets up furniture, appliances, and furnishings for rental units.
Sets up and monitors utility accounts for each unit.
Reports and also performs minor repairs and maintenance in collaboration with the landlords.
Works with families on housekeeping & cleanliness issues in collaboration with the case managers.
Available to be on call for occasional after-hours emergencies.
Qualifications:
Good computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal communication skills
Knowledge of building and facilities systems and procedures
Good repair and maintenance skill set
College degree preferred but not required with experience
Experience in Property Management and/or building trades fields required
Ability to handle multiple tasks and requests simultaneously
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Bi-lingual ability is preferred, esp. Spanish / Haitian-Creole
Valid Driver?s license
Must be able to dead lift up to 50 lbs or more regularly.
Salary: time allowances. package. $40K annually.
Supervision: This position reports to the Director of Housing Development & Property Services
Location: This position is based at 727 Atlantic Ave, Boston MA but is in the neighborhoods of Boston daily.
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours. Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with some nights and weekends. Flexibility a must.
