The Hartford Dispensary, founded in 1871, is a leading behavioral healthcare provider dedicated to treating substance abuse and addiction. The Hartford Dispensary is currently seeking an innovative, seasoned Clinical Services Director to become a member of the agency. This exciting new role will partner with the Executive Committee team to reshape the organization's future and vision by implementing new patient services and programs. The Clinical Services Director role is critical in assisting with the agency's strategic plan and growth ambitions. The ideal candidate will be process oriented, possess strong program/project management skills, and excellent communication skills. Position Summary
The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for planning, implementation and supervision for all clinical and counseling services across multiple locations. Oversees implementation of new programs and services, chairperson of the Quality Improvement Committee, agency Fair Hearing Officer, liaison with external agencies, oversees education and training of clinical staff, member of the Policy, Procedure, and Forms Committee, and member of the Corporate Compliance Committee.
Education, Licensure & Experience
Graduate degree in social work, psychology or allied science with a current and valid license in the state of Connecticut as an LCSW or LPC. The applicant should have at least six years of full time paid experience in the behavioral health treatment field, preferably in the area of substance abuse, and at least five years of administrative experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provides consistent supervision and support to clinic supervisors to ensure goals are met consistently and timely for all program requirements.
Works with clinic supervisors to provide educational oversight and training competency on functions related to care planning, clinic documentation, and quality performance improvement standards.
Serves as role model for supervisors, senior frontline staff, and clinic staff to promote strong work ethic and adherence to the agency's mission and vision.
