Job Description:
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues over the phone for both T.V. and Ethernet/Cable modem networks
Coordinate with other technical experts as needed to develop solutions
Implement the recommended solution - Walk users though the solution step by step, ascertain that the problem has been resolved and provide information to help users in researching and resolving their problems in the future.
Establishing satellite T.V./Internet systems by installing equipment running and pulling cable, programming and calibrating equipment while adhering to codes, regulations and standards.
Travel and work for extended periods out of area.
Preparing for installations by reviewing installation orders, gathering equipment, supplies and tools and coordinating schedules with customers.
Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
Work special projects as assigned.
Ability to work a rotating On-Call schedule.
Other duties as assigned.
:
Must possess a valid driver's license in the primary state of residence, with a clean driving record.
Must Possess a reliable vehicle
Understanding of LAN and networking concepts such as TCP/IP, Switches and Routers.
Excellent customer service skills that could assist non-technical users in a professional and friendly manner
Must be able to work full time; which may include nights, weekends and holidays as required
Must meet company hiring criteria for pre-employment screening, including drug test, criminal background check, fitness for duty
SBCA, DCJS and/or other industry certifications preferred
Working knowledge of handheld electronics, including smart phones, Ipads, etc., preferred
Possess and own a Smartphone
Meet 275 lbs weight limit due to safety restrictions
Terminating Data Jacks (RJ45)
Terminating Patch Panels or Punching 66 and/or 110 Blocks
Ability to lift and move up to 80 lbs
Ability to climb 40 ft ladders
Ability to perceive differences in wire and cable colors
Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions, including precipitation and temperature variations
Must be able to work in tight spaces, including attics and crawl spaces
2 Years Experience in telecommunications,electrical or related field required .
