Certifying Scientist Job Opening in De Queen, Arkansas - SUMMARY
A Certifying Scientist is needed for a Toxicology Laboratory in Arkansas. The lab will be performing urine toxicology drug screening and confirmation testing. The selected candidate must have strong experience performing urine toxicology confirmation testing using liquid mass spectrometry (LCMS-MS). Candidate must have experience certifying data, reviewing and releasing results.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or closely related field, plus two or more years of specific training in clinical toxicology or forensic drug testing. Method development and validation experience and Master?s degree preferred.
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or equivalent, is preferred.
Prior Toxicology testing experience and data analysis is a required. Demonstrated knowledge of drug abuse disorders and knowledge in the pharmacology and toxicology of legally prescribed and illegal drugs.
Technically proficient with drug screening and drug confirmation using methodologies such as EIA, ELISA, GC/MS and LC/MS/MS, and the report data generated by these testing instruments.
Demonstrated attention to detail, critical decision making experience, superior customer service and communication skills, ability to teach and instruct customers and employees on all aspects of drug testing laboratory procedures.
