The key responsibilities are:
Schedule all jobs on converting machines, based upon maximizing productivity and hitting corporate RLIP (Requested Line Item Performance=Customer requested ship dates) goals.
Execute Purchase Orders and manage inventory stock levels for assigned materials.
Partner with internal Production, Quality and staff to insure timely receipt of Production Materials, Supplies and Equipment
Manage SAP work orders in alignment with Coating and Converting schedules.
Monitor schedule adherence with production departments.
Support the Supply Chain Sr. Buyers and Sr. Planners in Manager in efforts to incorporate forward looking Demand Management
The role incumbent will demonstrate the relevant talents for the role and will display the virtues aligned to our principles.
Essential skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication
Effective in work organization: managing priorities and objectives in a timely manner
Able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Maintains a process focus and time based approach with regard to Production Planning, Inventory Management and Capacity Utilization
Essential experience:
3 Years of Purchasing and Production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiar with an integrated ERP system (SAP, ORACLE, JD Edwards) and Production Scheduling tools.
Through understanding of MRP concepts; capacity planning, routings and Bills of Material.
Essential qualifications:
Applies a demonstrated Sense of Urgency to complex business challenges in Supply/Demand
Ability to work under pressure and time constraints while maintaining a high level of work accuracy.
Self confidence and the ability to challenge other areas when necessary.
Experienced with End to End Supply Chain Management processes (Source, Plan, Make and Deliver processes)
Detail oriented with a passion for continuous improvement.
Additional desirable skills, experience and qualifications:
Excel knowledge
Lean Six Sigma experience
Cross Functional Team Leadership experience
