Customer Sales and Service Representative Job Opening in Gillette, Wyoming - JOB SUMMARY: The Customer Sales and Service Representative (CSSR) is a non-exempt employee responsible to the customers on the assigned route, to insure their complete and total satisfaction with the products and services offered by this company. This is accomplished by adhering to the job tasks and responsibilities outlined in the job description below.
HOURS OF WORK: The CSSR generally works 8 or more hours per day, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, or Tuesday through Saturday. The day generally begins at approximately 6 AM. Working extra hours is an element of this job.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
General: CSSRs are expected to work in a variety of conditions, standing on their feet or seated while operating a service vehicle. Repetitive bending at the waist, twisting at the waist and shoulders, and reaching at or above the shoulders while loading and unloading the service vehicle and servicing accounts are functions of this job. The CSSR may be required to ascend and descend staircases while carrying bundles of linen, mats, mops, soil bags, and hanging garments, etc.
Lifting: Moderate to heavy lifting not more than 100 pounds is a function of this job. Single floor mats may weigh in excess of 20 pounds each. Filled soil bags average 64 pounds each, with some weighing as much as 90 pounds or more.
Push/Pull: Pushing, pulling and tipping rolling carts or metal racks carrying weight in excess of 600 pounds on improved and unimproved surfaces, and on dry, wet, or ice and snow-covered surfaces is a function of this job. (Empty metal racks weigh approximately 130 pounds.)
Weather and
Temperature: The CSSR is expected to work in all weather and precipitation conditions. Temperature extremes may range from below zero degrees F in winter and in excess of 100 degrees F in summer. Humidity is generally moderate to high.

ESENTIAL FUNTIONS PERFORMED:
The CSSR must present a positive appearance consistent with published company grooming standards.
The CSSR must successfully and with courtesy interact daily with client management in regard to future needs, inventory planning, business expansion, and increased business opportunity. This includes but is not limited to a review with the customer contact issues pertaining to service satisfaction, invoices and pricing, invoice adjustments, issues pertaining to inventories and inventory levels, abused product issues, the collection of COD amounts, the collection of A/R amounts.
The CSSR is responsible for building the route by prospecting for new contract/sales opportunities that include lead generation and client prospecting and building upon existing business by direct and indirect sales and up-selling existing accounts with new and existing product introductions to the account.
The CSSR must competently and safely operate a motorized service vehicle in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and the company fleet management policy. This include insuring the vehicle is current with all scheduled maintenance, is clean and free of workplace hazards, has all appropriate motor vehicle documentation, is properly equipped and supplied with appropriate safety equipment and supplies, perform a daily vehicle safety inspection, and report any discrepancies to the route supervisor.
The CSSR delivers clean textile products to the customer, places the products in assigned location on the customer?s premises, including but not limited to laying floor mats, hanging uniforms in lockers or other storage locations, placing linen products on selves or in other storage locations, servicing restroom products and dispensers, etc.
The CSSR is required to load their service vehicle with clean product, load the vehicle with soiled products at each delivery address, and unload soiled product from the service vehicle at the assigned service center prior to the end of shift.
The CSSR must maintain regular contact with the business office to insure customer orders are placed and check for messages, all to insure customers issues are responded to in a timely manner.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Age: At least 21 years of age (Required for auto insurance coverage).
Personality: Friendly and outgoing with a dedicated professional attitude and strong positive work ethic.
Interaction: Effectively communicate orally in English. Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
Experience: None. However related sales, service, delivery, or CSSR experience is preferred.
Training: The CSSR normally receives two to three weeks on-the-job training to become familiar with CSR responsibilities and tasks and the assigned delivery route. Additional training in selected safety and operational topics is provided from time?to-time.
Drug Testing: The CSSR must pass a pre-employment drug test and is subject to ?for cause?, ?reasonable suspicion?, ?post accident/injury?, ?random? (DOT only), and other drug and alcohol tests as specified in company policy during the course of employment.
Physical
Examinations: The CSSR is subject to pre-employment physical examinations, fitness-for-duty examinations, and/or DOT physical certification and recertification as required by law.
