Scope of Position:
Sales Volume Ranges: (< 1.0mm) (1.0-3.0mm) (3.0-5.0mm) (5.0 +mm)

Basic Function:
Directly responsible for sales performance, store operating results, customer service, and the daily operations for their assigned store. The daily operations include: the maintenance of inventories at appropriate levels, promotion of sales in the local market, all staffing functions, maintenance of the store?s appearance. Additional responsibilities include: completing required accounting paperwork on a daily basis, price changes as directed, and conducting physical inventories as required. Ensure all company policies are followed as directed in the Retail Operations Manual.
I. Sales
Assist and maintain and monitor sales at budget on an ongoing basis (daily, weekly, and monthly). Review corresponding sales for prior year with goal of maximizing and creating sales opportunities and growth. Aggressively identify, communicate, and take action on areas of decreasing sales. Work with other stores to fill customer requests. Communicate daily Sales, SPT and UPT goals to all employees.

Assist the Store Manager in monitoring and controlling all expenses and payroll proportional to ratio of Actual vs. Budgeted sales on a monthly basis (Profit and Loss Statement). Identify opportunities to maximize profits by constant review of supply cost, implementation of recycling programs, and adoption of energy saving programs.
III. Customer Service
Create and maintain a pro-customer service focus among store staff for all customer interactions. Implement standards to ensure all customers are approached and offered assistance upon entering the store. Achieve goal to provide prompt, courteous, professional and knowledgeable customer service. Empower the sales staff to resolve all complaints to the customer?s satisfaction at the lowest level. Support and maintain non-exempt training program. Achieve and maintain the company standard for shopping scores. Maintain the store to provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for the customer and the employee.
IV. Inventory
Monitor store display and stock levels to ensure that adequate quantities of merchandise are available in relation to forecasted sales trends. Communicate needs for additional merchandise as needed when sales in specific product exceeds the normal replenishment to include Distribution Requests via JDA. Enter all inventory related receipts and adjustments into JDA on a weekly basis. Inform store manager of overstocks and slow moving product. Ensure all hold areas are current. Review outgoing shipments to assure timeliness. Manage loss prevention programs and store security to protect company assets.
V. Merchandising
Maintain Company standards in areas of product presentation, pricing, and signage. Develop and implement store level visual changes as directed and required. Monitor and maximize productivity on the selling floor with a creative product placement to increase sales. Assist and monitor the unloading of truck deliveries to assure timely and accurate processing.
VI. Marketing
Assist the Store Manager in identify, communicate, follow-up and implement new marketing opportunities within the local area to increase visibility and stimulate sales. Insure all customers are asked to provide address and email information for our mailing list . Follow-up and monitor cost effectiveness of all advertising commitments.
VII. Human Resources
Assist the Store Manager in recruiting and maintaining a customer focused staff that is competent, motivated, and enthusiastic. Manage personnel policies and administrative functions in coordination with Human Resources programs. Complete annual performance reviews on schedule. Provide ongoing performance feedback. Assure all communication is done in a pro-active manner.
VIII. Training & Development
Continually monitor skills and abilities of all staff to ensure development and maintenance of a pro customer service focus. Provide necessary training opportunities and disseminate information (individually, monthly staff meetings, manuals, works shops, special programs, Company emails, etc) to achieve a high level of competency and employee development. Work closely with and train the Sales Associates and Team Leads to develop their skills in customer service, product knowledge, store operations and POS functionality. Include safety program in the monthly store meetings.
IX. Administration
Manage incoming and outgoing information on a timely and accurate basis. Communicate store needs, reports, competitive action and pertinent information to the Store Manager and to the Corporate office. Be aware of and maintain all company policies as directed in the Retail Operations Manual. Control physical funds, maintain organized records, and insure all JDA information input requirements are meet on a timely bases.
X. Additional projects as assigned.

*Lifting motions range from floor to waist and shoulder to above range.
*Ability to climb a ladder.
*Subject to inside/outside environmental changes, including traffic noise while unloading a truck.
*Intermittent bending, crouching/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and reaching motions.
*Fingering, grasping, pulling, and lifting motions are required when ticketing merchandise.
*Requires use of knife/ razor to open boxes.
*Exposure to cleaning lotions and polishes while cleaning
Preferred Requirements
*Supervisory experience.
*BS/BA Degree.
*Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
