Systems Engineer Job Opening in San Diego, California - Fuse Integration is looking for a Systems Engineer capable of developing and delivering fully capable large scale network infrastructure systems comprising both hardware and software applications. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical communications systems and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. Qualified systems engineers will have a background in networking, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis. We?re looking for an experienced and systems engineer that can balance discipline and attention to detail with outside-the-box thinking and an innovative problem-solving attitude.
Fuse System Engineer DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide input for system specifications
Input for physical system design, installation and integration
Ensure system is developed to meet customer specified requirements
Install and verify system level components
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
Collaborate with engineers to design and develop technical solutions
Install and configure new hardware, software and network components
Diagnose, analyze and troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues and situations with critical thinking skills
System Engineer CORE COMPETENCIES:
Required: BS/MS degree in Engineering. Proven working experience designing, developing and integration complex systems (5+ years).
Experience with avionics system design and aeronautical systems
Experience building and integrating aircraft hardware and software solutions
Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments.
Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
Experience with system level testing and verification
Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
Experience with information security applications and certifications
Desired: MS in System Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Experience with NAVAIR SETR process
Experience with RMF process and framework
Candidates should have proven hands-on experience developing, testing, and installing complex airborne systems. We are looking for nimble self-starters who will thrive in our flexible, dynamic environment.
