Cost Accounting Manager Job Opening in Charleston, South carolina - Prepare month and year end financial reporting
Establish and maintain budgets and forecasts
Oversee SAP implementation of finance, accounting, and logistics modules
Manage accounting team and oversee financial planning, performance and cost management, internal controls and risk analysis
Develop and evaluate Key Performance Indicators to optimize manufacturing, processes.
Analyze manufacturing costs for inventory accountability, distribution of labor, verification of actual costs and computation of variances.
Maintain responsibility for the overall accounting and costing functions, including audit, compliance and taxes under various laws and regulations.
Manage capital asset and investment decisions, including make, buy, or lease analysis.
Oversee day to day accounting activities, including: Accounts payable, receivables, and inventory functions
Job development credits and DOR incentive programs
Price calculations and Non-recurring costs budgets for development projects
Serve as the liaison to parent company on finance and controlling related issues
Other duties as determined by skill level and corporate need
Education & Experience:
Undergraduate degree in finance/accounting
Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow accounting
Minimum of 7 years of related experience
At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting managerial functions
Ability to communicate effectively with team members, team leaders, and management staff
ERP/MRP ? SAP experience is a must
Special Skills & Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities
Ability to learn and utilize custom software relevant to production and manufacturing
Familiarity with standard office technologies, including but not limited to Microsoft Office
Familiar with company policies, procedures and instructions.
