Software Developer Job Opening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - TechCanary Corporation is seeking to fill multiple Software Developer positions with highly-qualified and experienced individuals who have can-do attitudes and the ability to work as part of a team for a growing company. The developer will work on and preferably have prior experience with the Salesforce platform. This position will be located in our office in Milwaukee, WI and remote work from outside the Milwaukee area is not possible.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE & HOURS: Full-Time, Salaried Position working 40+ hours per week
COMPENSATION: Competitive salary negotiable based on experience. Fringe benefits, including 401(k) with generous employer match, insurance (health, dental, vision, life, disability) and paid time off, also included.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision of the Chief Technology Officer, this position is responsible for the overall development, configuration and operation of TechCanary?s Sales & Services Productivity Platform, which is an insurance industry solution built into the Salesforce platform that brings a refreshing and dramatic improvement to the tools available to insurance agents to run and grow their business. This position will perform development of new features and functionality, testing, implementation, documentation, and updating tasks.
Key duties include:
Manage special projects as assigned
Develop and maintain Visualforce, AppExchange, and integration with other third-party solutions
Design, code, test, debug, package and deploy solutions on the Salesforce platform
Routinely review code, configuration, data and usage to ensure long-term viability and integrity.
Make suggestions and recommendations for modifications and enhancements for system and process improvement and efficiency
Work closely with the Client Success Team to ensure clients? needs are being met and that any gaps in service and satisfaction are minimized
Work closely with senior management (including CEO) to ensure success
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Extensive knowledge of and hands-on experience with APEX and Visualforce development
Strong ability to use Salesforce APIs to integrate Salesforce with other tools
Skill in using and experience with migration tool
Knowledge of the insurance industry
Ability to work independently and involve supervisor as needed
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and communicate status updates
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Proficient skills and ability to problem solve
Ability to be a team player and to interact with senior management/C-level executives
Solid knowledge of and experience working with web technologies such as HTTP, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, CSS
Considerable skill in using object-oriented programming language, such as Java, C#, C++, etc.
Strong attention to detail
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to learn new skills and develop self to stay on top of trends and changes in the industry
Ability to work in a fun environment that is developing, rapidly changing and still determining its culture
QUALIFICATIONS
Experienced Candidates:
Minimum of 2 years of software development experience (Java, C#) and web application development experience (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
Minimum of 2 years of experience with technical implementation, day-to-day operations and long-term maintenance of Salesforce
Minimum of 2 years of development with a strong focus on and proficiency with Apex and Visualforce
