Senior Staff Accountant Job Opening in Columbia, South carolina - POSITION OVERVIEW : The Senior Accountant will support the Controller in all financial areas including billing and collections, month-end close, and budgeting. The position will also have direct contact with customers and vendors.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an accounting roll
Experience with a general ledger (GL) accounting, AP, AR
Strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
Proficient use of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare journal entries and assist with the monthly close process
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Financial statement preparation
Analyze accruals and pre-paid accounts
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Any other duties as assigned
