DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING AND SALES Job Opening in Springfield, Massachusetts - Growing manufacturer in Western Massachusetts is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Engineering and Sales . You will work directly with the President to motivate and inspire our team of employees and directly manage the engineering and salesforce . If you are comfortable working in a manufacturing environment where your drive and skills really make a difference, this is an ideal position for you.
The successful individual must be an energetic, highly motivated sales professional with a solid technical back ground able to manage a sales and engineering organization serving a variety of clients in North and South America. Individual must have a strong business acumen to be a top leader in the organization. Your mission will be to inspire and mentor a peak performance team.
The successful individual will possess:
A Bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.
Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
5 years? plus experience managing a team of sales and/or engineering professionals in a manufacturing environment.
Technical sales management experience.
Mechanical design experience using a CAD platform.
Strong computer skills.
Be strategic, organized and technologically savvy in your approach to managing your team and the business.
Demonstrate ability to motivate and achieve results through others.
Understand financial reporting and have the ability to analyze business needs.
Worked directly with customers developing technical products over a long sales cycle.
Oversee marketing activities to include trade shows.
Manage B2B website, monitor SEO and social media strategy to align with business goals.
Some travel is required.

Salary: $100,000.00 to $110,000.00 /year
