GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Provides analysis and reports related to strategic planning, finance, budgeting, revenue-cycle management and operations data to support the management team. The position is accountable for the effectiveness of processes tied to financial performance of the business, revenue attribution and making recommendations for financial and contracting strategies for COSM.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monthly reporting for practice analytics
High level of interaction with physicians which includes managing finance, business and statistical reporting for the practice
Evaluating and reporting market share growth & monitoring
Annual budget compilation and tracking
Month end accounting and revenue reporting process management
Analyze historical and projected financial, clinical and operational information to determine present and future financial performance.
Navigate through various systems and departments to obtain accurate information to be utilized in the financial, forecasting and other ad hoc analysis/projects.
Acts as a management representative on internal and external committees and taskforces as needed.
Deals with projects and issues that are significant, sensitive, political and confidential in nature.
Interface with key executives & physicians including, but not limited to, presentations to Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
Maintains confidentiality in regards to patient accounts and patient information.
Maintains confidentiality in regard to all staff and sensitive company material.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma, Associates or Bachelors in Business Administration, Healthcare Analytics or Finance/Accounting
EXPERIENCE
Must be familiar with concepts related to healthcare Revenue Cycle Management, financial accounting and reporting.
Demonstrated analytic and problems solving skills.
Financial background and high level of knowledge of reading and creating financial documents for business operations
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
Financial management experience: three to five years of departmental or financial project leadership
Budget development experience and management
CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an office setting with some travel between offices. May be stressful at times due to multiple projects and priorities.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
Normal vision, finger dexterity. Requires frequent mobility or sitting for extended periods of time. Some bending and stooping required. Required to use the telephone and to work under pressure.
Work requires hand dexterity, stooping, bending, and sitting. Employee must possess visuals and auditory acuity in order to communicate with physicians, co-workers and outside customers.
