POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounts Receivable & Reimbursement Manager is responsible for the effective management of the AR Management, Eligibility, and Denial & Appeals Departments. The Manager plans, organizes, directs, monitors, and supervises the daily business of these areas and ensures the production and quality work standards meet the minimal guidelines. The Manager analyzes financial reports to identify issues preventing the adjudication of claims and is responsible to develop solutions to resolve AR issues.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staffing and HR Management including hiring, training, leading, and motivating staff.
Develop systems and controls to assure that the work force meets productivity standards both departmentally and for individual employees.
Runs queries and reviews aging reports to identify problem payors or accounts and to research denial issues affecting the AR.
Attends meetings providing insight regarding the financial performance of assigned offices.
Oversight of all reimbursement functions (i.e.) claims processing, billing & collections, & file maintenance)
Help establish best practices for conflict resolution and receivable management benchmarks.
Proficient understanding of the claim adjudication process, including pre-authorizations, CDT coding, appeals and coordination of benefits.
Manage cash application making sure all EOBs and cash receipts are applied properly
Reporting of AR aging totals/cash receipts/ adjustments etc.
Oversight of backlog, denials, and collections.
Mentor and train billing and collection staff
Skills
Excellent management skills including exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.
Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office and especially Excel.
Ability to deal with a variety of tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
Establish and orchestrate priorities while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Demonstrates sound judgment and leadership skills.
Education
Bachelor?s Degree in a Healthcare related specialty or Business Administration Program with a proven record of academic excellence or commensurate experience.
The Accounts Receivable Manager should have an outstanding record of professional accomplishments with a proven record of achievinggyasSSS production, quality, corporate goals, metrics and objectives.
Excellent management skills including exceptional organizational, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access
Ability to deal with a variety of tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Orchestrate priorities while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Demonstrate sound judgment and leadership skills.
