Accounting Specialist
The position is responsible for providing general accounting support for month/year end closing and reporting, fixed asset accounting, journal entries, accounts payable, cash entry and invoicing.
This position works with project leads, department heads, and outside accounting and government or banking entities. The position reports to the Accounting Manager.
Requirements:
Minimum of Associates Degree in Accounting, a B.S in Accounting is preferred
And 1-3 years experience in Accounting with broad exposure to best practice general accounting processes and practices.
Must work in an ERP environment and have advanced Excel skills. Syspro experience preferred
Highly organized must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, work to tight deadlines.
Must be able to problem solve, help develop best practices, or bring solutions to new problems.
Must have worked in a high-volume manufacturing or distribution operations
Prefer someone who has worked in a $100 million in sales company, part of a small staff and is used to wearing many hats.
Strong speaking and writing skills
This is a local search. Candidates must live within a reasonable recruiting distance of the Waukegan facility. The position is in Waukegan, Northeastern Lake County, Illinois.
