National Accounts Sales Manager - West Coast Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - Summary: Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with targeted national accounts using a consultative selling approach. Identifies, develops and establishes sales and profit opportunities for future product types. Assist customers in menu analyses to identify target opportunities for C.H. Guenther & Son, Inc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains open and frequent communication with existing customer base by making personal visits, communicating via telephone, correspondence and email.
Participates and demonstrates in Account conventions
Leads product incident response with active accounts
Conducts regular business reviews with target accounts
Negotiates new contracts and renews existing contracts to maximize shareholder value for C.H. Guenther & Son, Inc.
Increase base business through new accounts.
Makes cold calls from the prospect list to identify key decision makers
Researches new accounts
Submits samples for current and new product
Performs other duties as required.
Responsible for annual sales budget for targeted accounts
Responsible for securing profitable new business as part of annual budget
Clear and direct communication with multiple inter-company departments especially National Accounts Marketing. Other departments include Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Purchasing, R & D and Culinary.
Manages projects with R & D team and our Product Management Team to expedite new business development
Develops thorough understanding of Target Customer operational capabilities through direct involvement with Customer R & D and restaurant operations
Executes all required paperwork in timely fashion
Minimum Job Requirements:
:
College degree or equivalent experience required.
Culinary or Sales related accreditation a plus
Must possess valid driver?s license.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience managing National and Regional restaurant chains
Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficient in use of Lotus Notes or similar
Demonstrated leadership and possesses the ability to develop interdepartmental relationships
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Abilities:
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of associates and customers ranging from entry level to executive level positions.
Ability to work with multiple departments including but not limited to Cost Accounting, Operations, Purchasing, R & D, Culinary, Quality Assurance, and Information Services, both internally and externally.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, often with competing deadlines.
Ability to prioritize projects and clearly communicate direction internally and externally
Proficient use of computer and related software.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No direct subordinates
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Office environment
Light physical effort. Requires standing, sitting, walking, talking, seeing, hearing, fine dexterity, and handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds.
Substantial travel required (up to 60%) mostly in the United States
