Sales Manager - Commercial Construction Job Opening in Folcroft, Pennsylvania - BenFab Architectural Metalwork is seeking a self-motivated, results driven individual to fill the Commercial Construction Sales Manager position. Responsibilities include but not limited to 1) generating sales by reviewing bid invitations for architectural metalwork (railings, stairways, balconies and misc. metals) scope and schedule, 2) discovering new business opportunities by proactively promoting the BenFab brand in the commercial sector and pursuing marketing leads and 3) leveraging existing and establishing new relationships with GC(s), commercial management firms, owners, architects and designers.
Summary
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Commercial Construction Sales Manager will be responsible for implementing sales strategies to drive profitable revenue growth in line with annual growth plans for the business. A proven ability to consistently surpass monthly sales goals, grow customer service levels, expand existing customer relationships and cultivate new business relationships are essential to success in this position. The Commercial Construction Sales Manager is a highly motivated team player with strong follow up and relationship building skills. A strong background in the construction industry is critical and strong communication skills play an essential role in maximizing communication from the customer throughout the BenFab organization.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
Solicit & maintain positive relationships with potential and current clients.
Study plans, blueprints & specifications for project bids to determine time frame, budget, implementation and allotment of resources for each phase of project.
Prepare and submit proposals within time-frame, follows-up until closed (awarded or lost).
Upon award, facilitate an effective hand-off of the project to Sales Enablement Manager and PM. Actively communicate information to initiate projects.
Prepare sales, pending, and project reports for management, clients, or others.
Evaluate and prepare pricing for change orders. Work closely with the PM to generate change orders, scheduling and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Work closely with internal team and PM to track job progress, schedule, changes, and budget.
Monitor job costs throughout project.
Maintain an ongoing bid calendar, including tracking for addenda, change orders.
Work with current or underserved accounts to develop selling strategies to optimize potential
Provide design input and value engineer product solutions
Communicate with Sales Enablement, CAD Technicians, Fabricators and Field Installers to ensure consistent and accurate flow of information.
Update & maintain accurate pipeline reports, track leads, bookings, forecasting, reporting.
Schedule, plan & conduct sales presentations; support marketing efforts including trade shows, networking events and industry associations.
Identify and develop process changes to eliminate waste/increase profitability.
Responsible for safety, and industry / code compliance requirements
Successful Candidate Will Have:
Demonstrated ability to close sales opportunities and utilize the sales process effectively.
Ability to read and understand blueprints with strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to persuade and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes.
Detailed understanding of all pertinent project information and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the internal organization.
Experience in selling in the commercial building industry; architectural metalwork knowledge and experience a strong plus.
Experience in commercial bid negotiation
Excellent verbal and written presentation and customer relations skill
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent plus five (5) years related sales experience preferred.
Prior sales an/or field construction experience with architectural metalwork.
Excellent math skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as the ability to multi task and manage changing priorities are essential.
Proficient computer skills and strong knowledge of MS Office products and estimating software.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks.
Work under intense deadlines with frequent interruptions.
Extended hours with possible night and/or weekend work as well as overnight travel
A valid driver?s license
