JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for assisting with external financial reporting, including but not limited to annual reports, filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory filings as appropriate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the preparation of 10Q and 10K processes; effectively resulting in accurate and compliant filing of company financial results and other reports required by the SEC.
Prepare financial statements for external reporting.
Responsible for pension accounting and related disclosures.
Responsible for consolidation accounting.
Review all footnotes prepared by others.
Compile documentation to support 10Q / K files and perform an analytical review to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Prepare assigned monthly and quarterly accounting entries, disclosure, and related reports.
Participate in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations related to financial disclosure.
Understanding of XBRL process and procedures.
Complete or review foreign currency re-measurement / translation process.
Assist in preparation of financial debt compliance package.
Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of Regulations SK and SX of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the ability to research current technical accounting literature.
Experience in accounting consolidations and eliminations for an international public company.
Good writing skills and communication skills are a must.
Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy and exactitude.
Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and reports with a high degree of accuracy and exactitude.
Ability to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of XBRL.
Ability to proficiently operate a computer and supporting software packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Education:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
