Senior Accountant Job Opening in Knoxville, Tennessee - Senior Accountant Job :
Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Produce and present error-free accounting reports
Analyze and summarize financial information and status
Suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
Review and recommend modifications to the accounting system and procedures
Assist with tax returns and tax audits
Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
Plan, assign, and review staffs work
Support end of month and end of year close procedures
Liaise with our financial manager to improve financial procedures
Senior Accountant Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Familiarity with financial statements
Hands on experience with accounting software packages, like QuickBooks
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Effective communication skills ? verbal and written
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and team members
Loyal and confident
Demonstrated proficiency of MS Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant
Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
